A PS5 is one of the most expensive gadgets people buy for the home in Pakistan, and its price has gone up rather than down. If you searched for the PS5 price in Pakistan, this guide gives the current price ranges for each model, explains why prices differ so much between shops, and lists what to check before paying.
Which PS5 models are there?
Sony's PlayStation website lists three consoles:
- PS5 with a disc drive (1TB)
- PS5 Digital Edition (825GB), with no disc drive
- PS5 Pro, the more powerful model
The current disc and digital consoles are the slimmer versions, often called PS5 Slim in shops. The digital edition cannot play game discs, so you buy all games online.

Checked 13 October 2026. The disc edition was listed at Rs 254,999 by one large retailer. Prices change with the dollar rate and stock, so confirm at the shop.
Why we are not giving a PS5 Pro price
When we checked, none of the retailer pages we looked at showed a PS5 Pro price. Two news reports gave figures, but they were two months apart and did not match. Rather than print a number that may be wrong, we suggest you ask at least three shops and compare. Make sure each price is for the same version and storage.
Why PS5 prices are high and differ by shop
- No official distributor. We could not find an official Sony PlayStation distributor in Pakistan. A 2020 report said Pakistan is not an officially served PlayStation market, and we found nothing newer that says otherwise. So consoles reach shops through importers, and each one sets its own price.
- Global prices went up. A July 2026 report said the US price of the disc PS5 rose from $499.99 at launch to $649.99. Pakistani prices follow.
- The dollar rate. Imported electronics are priced in dollars, so the rupee price moves with the exchange rate.
- Demand before big game launches. A September 2026 report linked high PS5 Pro resale prices abroad to demand ahead of a major game release.
Disc or digital?
- Disc edition costs about Rs 10,000 more. You can buy used game discs and sell your old ones, which can save a lot over a few years.
- Digital edition is cheaper to buy, but every game is a download, and you cannot resell games.
If you plan to buy many games, the disc edition usually works out cheaper over time.
Buying a PS5 new
- Get the warranty in writing. Since there is no official Sony warranty here, the shop's own warranty is all you have. Ask how long it is, what it covers, and where repairs are done.
- Check the box and seals. Make sure the model on the box matches what you are paying for.
- Ask about the region. Consoles imported from different countries may come with different plugs. Make sure a suitable power cable is included.
- Compare at least three shops, as prices for the same console can differ by more than Rs 10,000.
Buying a used PS5
We did not find a reliable source for typical used PS5 prices, so we are not giving a range. If you buy used:
- Test it in person. Play a game for a few minutes, try a disc if it is the disc edition, and connect it to the internet.
- Check the controller. Test every button and both sticks, and look for drift, where the character moves when you are not touching the stick.
- Ask about the account. The seller should sign out of their PlayStation account and reset the console.
- Listen for noise and feel for heat after a few minutes of play.
- Get a receipt with the seller's name and CNIC or shop name.
Protecting the console at home
A PS5 is a large purchase, and power problems are a common reason for repairs. Some simple steps:
- Use a good surge protector or stabiliser, especially in areas with voltage swings.
- Think about how it runs during load-shedding. If you plan to use a UPS or inverter, check that it can handle the console's power draw, and switch off the console properly before the power goes.
- Give it space to breathe. Do not put it in a closed cabinet. Dust and heat cause fan noise and faults.
- Keep the box and receipt for the length of the shop's warranty.
