AirPods are among the most copied gadgets in Pakistan. Copies look almost the same in photos and sell for a small part of the real price, so many buyers end up with one without knowing. This guide gives the current AirPods prices in Pakistan and the checks to make sure you are buying the real thing.
Current AirPods models
Apple's AirPods page lists four options:

Prices checked 13 October 2026 on the shop pages listed under Sources. The AirPods 5 listing showed different prices at different times, so confirm before you buy. Some shops still sell the older AirPods 4.
Where to buy
- Authorised distributors. GNext runs an Apple Flagship Store on DarazMall, launched in June 2026 according to Dawn. Mercantile is another authorised Apple distributor in Pakistan.
- Large electronics retailers. Ask whether the warranty is local and from whom.
- Small shops and online sellers. Prices can be lower, but copies are more likely. Do every check below.
How to spot copy AirPods
No single check is perfect. Do as many of these as you can before paying.
1. Price
Real AirPods Pro 3 cost about Rs 65,000 or more in Pakistan when we checked. If someone offers "original" AirPods Pro for a small fraction of that, they are almost certainly a copy, or stolen.
2. Serial number in three places
Apple's support page lists where to find the serial number:
- on an iPhone: Settings > Bluetooth, tap the More Info button next to the AirPods
- on the underside of the charging case lid
- on the box, next to the barcode
All three should match. On AirPods Max, the serial number is under the left ear cushion, which you can detach.
A matching serial is a good sign, but copy makers can print real serial numbers on fake products, so do not stop here.
3. Apple's coverage check
Enter the serial number on checkcoverage.apple.com. The model it shows should match the AirPods in your hand. If the site shows a different model, or says the serial is not valid, do not buy. Apple's tool asks you to choose a country or region first.
4. Pairing and features
Real AirPods show a pairing card on an iPhone when you open the case nearby. Then check that the features Apple lists for that model actually work:
- Noise cancellation that clearly reduces background noise
- Find My: the AirPods appear in the Find My app
- For AirPods Pro 3, the case speaker sounds when you play a sound from Find My
Copies often fake the pairing card but fail on noise cancellation or Find My.
5. Build and sound
Compare with a real pair if you can, for example at an authorised shop. Look at the weight, the hinge of the case, the print quality on the box, and the sound. Copies usually sound thinner and have weaker noise cancellation.
6. Receipt and warranty
Ask for a receipt with the serial number and the shop's name. A seller of real AirPods should be willing to write the warranty terms down.
If you already bought a copy
It happens to careful buyers too. If your checks show the AirPods are not original:
- Go back to the seller quickly with the receipt and ask for a refund. Shops are more likely to help in the first few days.
- If you bought online, use the platform's return or dispute process before the return window closes. Take screenshots of the listing that said "original".
- Do not pay for an "original battery" or "original case" repair on a copy. It will not turn it into a real product.
- Report the seller on the platform where you found them, so others are warned.
Next time, ask for the serial number before you meet or order, and check it on Apple's coverage page first.
AirPods 5 or AirPods Pro 3?
- AirPods 5 are lighter and cheaper, with noise cancellation. Good for daily use and calls.
- AirPods Pro 3 have stronger noise cancellation, according to Apple, plus heart rate sensing and a case with a speaker and lanyard loop. Worth it if you travel, commute or work out with them.
- AirPods Max 2 are full over-ear headphones for long listening at home or on flights.
