Y series: budget phones with big batteries
vivo Y05e, Rs 36,999 to Rs 39,999
Vivo lists 4GB RAM (with 4GB extended), 64GB storage, a 6.74-inch HD+ screen, an 8MP camera and a 5,150mAh battery. It is a basic phone for calls, WhatsApp and video. The storage is small, so it suits light users. If you can stretch a little, our best mobile under 50000 list has phones with more storage.
vivo Y11d, Rs 52,999 to Rs 68,999
Vivo lists a 6.74-inch 120Hz screen, a 50MP camera, a 6,500mAh battery and 44W charging. It is a big step up from the Y05e in camera and battery, with 128GB storage on both versions.
vivo Y31d, Rs 72,999 to Rs 82,999
Vivo lists the Snapdragon 6s Gen 2 chip (4G), a 6.75-inch 120Hz screen, a 50MP camera, a 7,200mAh battery and 44W charging. This is the Y model most people should look at. The battery is one of the largest at this price, and the Snapdragon chip handles everyday apps and light games well.
vivo Y500, Rs 79,999 to Rs 109,999
Vivo lists a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED screen, a 50MP camera and an 8,100mAh battery. Choose it over the Y31d if you watch a lot of video and want an AMOLED screen, or if you need the biggest battery you can get.

X series: the flagship camera phone

Vivo lists the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip, a compact 6.31-inch screen, a 50MP ZEISS main camera, a 50MP ZEISS telephoto with 3x optical zoom, an 8MP ultra wide, a 50MP front camera, a 6,500mAh battery, 90W wired and 40W wireless charging, and IP68 and IP69. It is vivo's most capable phone in Pakistan right now, for buyers who want top camera quality in a smaller phone.

Y series or V series?
The jump from the most expensive Y phone to the cheapest V phone is about Rs 70,000 at official prices. Here is what that money buys, based on vivo's own pages:
- A telephoto camera. The V70 has a 50MP telephoto with 3x optical zoom. None of the Y phones above list one.
- A better selfie camera. 50MP on the V70, against 5MP to 32MP on the Y phones.
- A newer, faster chip. Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 on the V70.
- Faster charging. 90W on the V70, against 44W on the Y11d and Y31d.
If you mainly use your phone for calls, social apps and video, a Y phone is enough. If photos matter to you, the V70 is worth a look.
