Infinix, Tecno and Redmi are the three names most Pakistani buyers compare when they want a good phone without paying for Samsung or Apple. All three sell phones at nearly every price point, and their models change every few months. This guide compares what each brand offers at today's prices, how after-sales service works, and how to decide.

How the brands compare
Price spread
The gaps between shops are large. For example, the Redmi A7 Pro was listed from about Rs 34,999 to Rs 47,999, and the Infinix HOT 60 Pro from about Rs 66,499 to Rs 77,999. Part of this is different memory versions, and part is pricing. Infinix also raised HOT 60 series prices in July 2026, according to PhoneWorld, so older price lists may be out of date.
Software updates
Update promises differ by model, not only by brand. For example, Infinix promised three Android updates and five years of security patches for the HOT 70 Pro 5G, according to its launch report. For cheaper models, the promise is often shorter or not stated. If you plan to keep the phone for three years or more, ask the seller or check the brand's page for the model you want.
After-sales service
- Infinix and Tecno both use Carlcare for after-sales service, according to oraimo Pakistan's page about Carlcare. So the repair experience for the two brands is similar, and it depends mostly on how close the nearest Carlcare centre is.
- Redmi phones are serviced through Xiaomi's authorised service centres. We could not open Xiaomi Pakistan's warranty page when we checked, so ask the seller for the warranty terms.
We could not find independent, current data comparing service quality or repair times. Before you buy, look up the nearest authorised service centre for the brand in your city. A phone with a centre in your town is easier to fix.
Which brand to choose at each budget
Around Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000
All three have entry phones here: the TECNO Spark 40C and Spark Go 3, the Redmi A5 and A7 Pro, and the Infinix Smart 10 and Smart 20. At this price, storage and battery matter most. Avoid 64GB versions if you take a lot of photos or use WhatsApp heavily. Our list of the best mobile under 50000 compares specific models.
Around Rs 50,000 to Rs 70,000
The Infinix HOT 60i and HOT 70, TECNO Spark 50 and Spark 50 Pro, and Redmi 15 and 15C compete here. Look at charging speed and screen refresh rate: a 120Hz or faster screen makes everyday scrolling smoother.
Around Rs 70,000 to Rs 100,000
The Infinix HOT 70 Pro 5G, TECNO Camon 50 and Redmi Note 15 are the stronger picks. This is where you start to get 5G, IP ratings and longer update promises on some models. Compare them with Samsung, vivo and other brands in our list of the best mobile under 100000. The Infinix HOT 70 Pro 5G guide has its full specs.
A note on "extended" RAM
All three brands, and most others, now advertise RAM as two numbers added together, such as "4GB + 4GB". The first number is the physical memory. The second is "extended", "virtual" or "dynamic" RAM, which borrows space from storage. It helps a little with keeping apps open, but it is much slower than real RAM.
When you compare phones from Infinix, Tecno and Redmi, compare the physical RAM only. A phone with 6GB of real RAM will feel faster than one sold as "4GB + 4GB", even though the total on the box looks bigger.
Our advice
- Set your budget first, then compare the two or three best models from each brand at that price.
- Check the exact specs on the brand's own website, not only the shop label.
- Ask how long security updates last for the model.
- Check the nearest service centre in your city.
- Confirm PTA approval. Dial *#06# and check the IMEI on dirbs.pta.gov.pk or by SMS to 8484. See how to check PTA status by IMEI.
- Compare at least two shops. With price gaps this large, a few minutes of checking can save several thousand rupees.
